For a long time now {practically since we got the piece} I have been wanting to repaint my hutch. This hutch is our landing zone when we get home. Its where the purse and backpacks hide, and in the winter all of the hats and mittens. It gets used a lot! {The baskets hide keys, wallets and cell phones}. 
The color I've had in mind is no huge departure but I wanted the contrast a little sharper with my oatmeal walls and for it to blend with the kitchen cabinets.
So here's the first coat of paint along with my samples for the beadboard along the back.
{BTW, I picked the color on the far left}. I can't wait for it to be done! Sometimes the subtle changes are the best! I'm hoping that the punch of color in the back helps to liven things up!
