Are all of your Christmas decorations up yet? It always seems to be a work in progress for me. We don't have much of a fire place {this one is a fake that takes those gel fuel canisters} but it works for adding some decorative elements to in the room. Of course the big challenge is working around the TV, cable box and Wii.
Putting a few branches I cut off the tree out back helped maybe a smidge (sorry honey!).
I love using Command adhesive hooks on the mantel for the stockings and decor because it is so easy to remove them after Christmas without leaving any marks.
The other project in our living room stands opposite of the wall the TV is on. Its our hutch. This hutch my parents purchased for us a few years ago from the Amish in Shipshewana and I love it! Its a great place to store the kids backpacks and hats and mittens in the winter.
As we focus on the true meaning of Christmas, I hope in the busyness of it all you take time to reflect on Christ and his gift!
